Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher, jockey trainer, and former professional jockey. The family was awed by horses, race meetings and racing. Bea began her career as a tour-guide for the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that the race industry was not for her.
